This medium-sized lodge is constructed from heavy-duty recycled plastic, offering a long-lasting alternative to traditional wooden housing. It is designed to accommodate up to five standard-sized hens or nine smaller bantams comfortably. The material is resistant to rot and does not require the regular painting or staining associated with timber coops in the garden.
The design features a low-profile hen house with an integrated nesting box, providing a secure and private space for egg-laying. Because the surfaces are smooth and non-porous, the coop is much easier to clean and sanitize than wood. This helps in managing common poultry pests and maintaining a healthy environment for the entire flock.
Ventilation is built into the structure to ensure proper airflow while keeping the interior protected from drafts. The lodge is also suitable for broody chickens and young chicks due to its accessible height and secure construction. This plastic coop represents a modern approach to durable and low-maintenance backyard poultry keeping for any home.
